I often wonder to myself, self... what's really important? If you asked me 5 years ago, I would have said that next promotion on the corporate ladder, and making 100k a year, and flirting with that girl across the bar... (sorry to my current girlfriend if she reads this.) Fast forward 5 years, and add a few life-altering changes, and I find that I have a much different perspective on things. So the question still lies: "What should one give thanks for?"
In the end, I believe it is the people in our lives that have a profound effect on what we consider, "happiness." It's the people that make the decisions to love or hate one another, it's people that make decisions to take care about the life around them, whether that is a pet, parent, friend, child, stranger, etc...
So, when you strip down all the material items in this world, we are left with a support network of individuals, so that is what I choose to give thanks for. THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU WHO SUPPORT THE PEOPLE AROUND YOU, and thank you for supporting SKISAC. Let's make a difference.
